Armed men in camouflage gear came out of nowhere to stop a pair of adventure bikers who claimed they had discovered a secret back gate to Area 51.
The terrified motorcyclists, who had just ridden past a sign which warned that 'deadly force' was authorized against trespassers, were forced to put their hands up when the two mystery men drew their guns.
They were riding on a dirt road in Nevada near the perimeter of the Air Force base where Area 51 is said to be located when they were stopped and told: 'Get the f*** outta here'.
Many conspiracy theorists believe Area 51, a remote corner of Nevada, houses UFO technology.
But the claims have mainly been debunked, and the site has been revealed to be a historic test site for surveillance aircraft including the U2 and SR-71, and the US Air Force’s stealth bombers.
The 'camo-dudes' get out of a large white pick-up truck and bark: 'Get your f***ing hands up'.
One of them asks the bikers: 'Have you got anything on you?' and, after frisking him, asks what they are doing in the area.
Then the bald gunman, with a moustache, tells them: 'We are going to give you guys a chance. You turn around and get the f*** outta here.'
He warns them that if he sees them again in Lincoln County - which surrounds Area 51 - they will get a fine of $750.
They were forced to turn around by the men, who never identified themselves, and ride back towards Interstate 95.
On the video one of the bikers can be heard saying: 'That was the most gnarly thing I've ever been in'.
His They later uploaded footage taken on a helmet camera.
The clip, entitled Held at Gunpoint by Camo-dudes, was published on YouTube yesterday and has already got 10,000 views with many viewers seeing it as proof that the government has something to hide at Area 51.
The bikers wrote: 'EVERYONE SHARE LIKE CRAZY, WE MIGHT HAVE TO TAKE THIS DOWN SOON DUE TO THE US GOVERNMENT!! DON'T LET THEM HIDE THIS!!
'This is raw and shot in realtime. Not fake or PHONY! We bring you the extreme footage shot by us. I don't know how long it will be up until the Gov't makes us take it down!'
Camo-dudes is the unofficial name given to guards monitoring Area 51. It is not known if they are part of a military branch, or if they are contractors.
There is only one designated entrance to the site, the front gate. It is heavily guarded and kept under close surveillance using road sensors and cameras.
The closest legal place to view Area 51 is from the top of Tikaboo Peak, a mountain over 26 miles from the base.
